Sharkey’s Old Fashioned Bread Pudding
1 cup light brown sugar
2 ½ cups boiling water
1 Tbsp butter
Mix and cook 7 minutes in separate pan
Meanwhile:
Soak in hot tap water 1 cup raisins
Mix:
½ cup white sugar
1 cup white flour
1 T butter (softened)
¾ cup milk
2 teas baking powder
1 teas salt
Drain and add raisins
Use 2qt baking pan/dish
Pour hot syrup in first and follow it with batter. Do not stir, just even out a bit
Preheat oven at 325 degrees – Bake 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
Note: pudding will fall some as it cools
