TEN WORDS TO SUM UP WHAT I THINK OF THIS PERSON

I couldn’t help feeling sorry for this very likeable fellow. Political differences aside, I think we could have been friends.

TEN WORDS HOW THIS PERSON AFFECTED MY LIFE

I enjoyed meeting the man for real, finding him quite different  from the scoundrel he appears as in history books.

WHAT I’D SAY TO THIS PERSON IF WE MET TODAY

I’ll make sure the history books get your true ‘self’ down at least.

WHAT I WISH I HADN’T SAID /DONE TO THIS PERSON

Well, it wasn’t something I said, but one of the deck watch, something about wiping his feet. Seems rather irrelevant now.

I did a bit more research about him after we parted and Seaview returned to the present. His body was originally buried under the gallows, later, it was returned to England and he was buried with honors in Westminster Abbey.

‘If only’ keeps running through my mind regarding the man. A different time and circumstance, who knows what would have become of such a genial gentleman.
